This New Year was different for me – I actually made goals (“resolutions”) for myself which I wrote down in plan form. No more of this “I want to be thin” or “I want to have a good immune system” nonsense – I made a plan for how to get to my goals. And so far, I’m happy to say that I’ve stuck with them.
One of the goals was to be healthier, a subsection of which included losing weight.
Shortly after creating these goals, I decided to start taking alli. Since I had already limited myself to a maximum of three meals with fried food, I figured I would be disciplined enough to stick with alli’s strict “no more than 15g of fat per meal” regimen. I’ve been taking alli for a week (today), three times per day. I’ve also cut down my fat intake to 15g or less per meal (usually less) and I’ve started going to the gym four times per week.
I’d have to say that, thus far, I’m incredibly happy with the results! I lost four pounds last week and a number of inches around my midsection. Four pounds! Considering that it generally takes me a few weeks after I start a weight-loss program to see ANY results, I was ecstatic to see that! That’s like a pound for every day at the gym! And supposedly I’d have only lost 2.5 pounds or so without the alli, since it is supposedly to increase your weight loss by 50%.
I know that there are “treatment effects” when taking the product. I’ve read many articles about people who have had those effects – basically, to put it bluntly, you will poop your pants. I – *knock on wood* – have not seen any of those effects. And I would guess that a lot of the people who do aren’t really counting their fat intake properly. I suppose their are people whose systems the drug just may not agree with but it seems like a fairly simple plan – monitor your fat intake and lose weight.
And call me a sicko, but I kind of like the fact that there are consequences for your actions. I am big on consequences, though I’m not sure why. If there were no consequences to deviating from alli’s plan, what would keep you honest?
At any rate, I have nothing bad to say about the drug at this time. I don’t expect to lose four pounds every week, nor would I really want to, but it was a great way to kick-start the program for me. I still have at least 54 pounds that I’d like to lose but seeing some results in the first week is really what I needed to keep focused and stay on track.
Oh, and if you’re interested in taking alli, make SURE that you read all of the information about the drug on their website before you do it. If you don’t think that you can eat less than 15g of fat per meal then it won’t work for you. (Just trying to help others out there from potential having an “accident”.)
